my friend ren and i were having a dinner the other day and, as the tradition goes, decided to slash yet another one of his tshirts into a feminine version of itself. (he is not lying when swears he has too many clothes, and a girl can always use a new injection into her summer wardrobe, right?). all it takes is a pair of scissors and some imagination, oh, and about 5 minutes of your time. let me mention that, when i saw the proposed tshirt from express, i announced that i'd never wear it no matter what we changed about it, but, as we cut off the sleeves, deepened the neckline, and fringed its bottom all the way around after shortening the tshirt length by about two inches, voilà, a vintage, western-inspired top is born! i will wear it with my cutoff shorts and, when it's chilly, with a clean skinny jean or a long skirt.
